Running - Coach Benjamin Forrest
I am from Jackson, NJ. That's New JERSEY, not New JOISEY, which no true New Jerseyan says. I began running track in 6th grade. Unlike most kids I had no interest in sprinting; I just wanted to run as far as possible. In high school I discovered that I did in fact have some speed and settled into mid-distance track races, also switching from soccer to cross-country as a junior. After this I competed in cross country and track and field at Rutgers University in NJ (Division I), running mostly from 800m-mile. Arriving at Texas A&M in the fall of 2012 to begin a PhD in Physics (Astronomy track), I started doing triathlons in the spring of 2013.
Notable athletic accomplishments include:
2006 NJ XC Meet of Champions - 1st place team -> #1 team in NJ
